Heard on Joe Duffy some had failed and were going back to the Hale distributers very irate. If you do fail , whats the story? Do you have to pay the NCT twice. If so its hale who should be paying.
Is it true a lot of Hale meters are failing the distance test in NCT centres.
Yep the poor chap installing the software had to get security on his gates.
Good question , now that its the NCT have taken over , can be sure they charge for a second visit.
no charge for second visit and yes 70%of taxis have failed.
road rolling is not a success as it dosent take weather conditionsinto account and also the road rolling is not accurate. they tried this years ago and it was a failure so dont se why they bring it back again
YEh I failed as well, Hale blaming the NCT, and nct blaming hale, my head is spinning.
Yes, seemingly the hale meters that were programmed in waterford are 1% out according to the N.C.T They have to be re-done. Any one unfortunate enough to own a Gleike meter will have to purchase a new meter and printer because of issues with the software. I have to replace the whole lot at a cost of 450 euros. The london city council stopped testing meters on the rolling road because of the same issues over accuracy. However, typical of the irish, when it comes to money (i.e 1.9 million euro) , the N.C.T has refused to accept that it may be there fault. In principle I don't agree with the fare increase of 8.3% at this present time. We should have got it twelve months ago when fuel prices were starting to rocket. We are now in a recession, and I feel we are alienating our customers even more. I have no choice at the moment but to charge customers the price increase to re-coup the cost of the new meter, installation, re-programmimg and N.C.T fees.
